Support Us
No matter who has been diagnosed with cancer – a child, a grandparent, a parent, or a sibling – nothing is the same ever again. Thankfully, every CancerCare program is provided free of charge, and gives families the tools to cope with a cancer crisis.
The rising price of gas in recent months has created yet another crisis for more and more people undergoing treatment for cancer: not being able to afford getting to and from their doctor's office or treatment center to receive the vital therapies they need. Especially for those living in rural areas or far distances from their medical facility, transportation costs can hinder or even prevent people from receiving the necessary treatment they need.
CancerCare has been helping patients with transportation assistance for over 60 years. In fact, in the last year alone over 21,000 people received nearly $4 million in individual grants from CancerCare that included covering the costs of getting to and from treatment.
We have been able to provide this help because of the generosity of people like you. Now, more than ever before, your generosity is urgently needed. Your support of CancerCare's financial assistance programs will help ensure that a person with cancer doesn't miss the vital medical treatment they need simply because they can't afford to get to it.
You can help people undergoing treatment for cancer cover the cost of their transportation to and from treatment when you make a donation to CancerCare today.
